1. Purpose of This Document

This document sets out the terms, boundaries, and conditions of participation for live psychoeducation workshops delivered by ADHD Horizon.

It is intended to ensure:
-
clarity about the non-clinical nature of workshops,
-
appropriate boundaries and expectations for participants,
-
proportionate risk and safeguarding arrangements, and
-
transparency regarding data handling, cancellations, and refunds.
This document applies only to live psychoeducation workshops and does not apply to clinical services such as therapy or psychology-led group programmes, which are governed separately.

2. Nature of Live Psychoeducation Workshops

Live psychoeducation workshops are:
-
educational and informational in nature,
-
delivered live by clinicians or supervised facilitators,
-
focused on understanding ADHD and related mental health themes.
Workshops:
-
do not constitute psychological therapy,
-
do not involve diagnosis, assessment, or treatment,
-
do not establish a therapist–client relationship,
-
do not replace professional mental health care.
Workshops may be advertised as relevant to:
-
people with ADHD,
-
partners or carers of people with ADHD,
-
or individuals interested in ADHD-related topics.
Registration remains open to any adult participant unless explicitly stated otherwise.

3. Access to and participation in live sessions

Access control and waiting room management
Workshops are delivered live via Zoom. Participants are required to join the session using the same name provided at registration.

For reasonable access-control and safeguarding purposes, participants may be placed in a virtual waiting room and admitted manually. Where the name shown does not reasonably match the registration details, access may be delayed or refused.

This process does not involve identity verification and does not guarantee the identity of other participants.

Participation Boundaries

Participants agree that during workshops:
-
individual clinical advice will not be provided,
-
personal clinical histories should not be shared in detail,
-
facilitators may redirect or pause discussion to maintain boundaries,
-
facilitators may limit participation where necessary to protect safety or group integrity.
Questions are welcomed at a general, educational level only.

4. Risk, Distress, and Safeguarding
ADHD Horizon is not a crisis service.

If a participant becomes distressed during a workshop:
-
facilitators may pause content,
-
grounding or supportive guidance may be offered,
-
clear signposting to external support will be provided.
If a participant expresses risk of harm to themselves or others:
-
facilitators may provide crisis signposting,
-
safeguarding or emergency escalation may occur where required.
Participants remain responsible for:
-
seeking appropriate professional or emergency support when needed,
-
ensuring they are in a safe environment while attending workshops.

5. Data Protection & Privacy

For live workshops, ADHD Horizon may collect limited personal data, such as:
-

-
booking or attendance details.
Workshop data:
-
is not stored in the clinical EHR (Semble),
-
is processed separately in accordance with UK GDPR,
-
is governed by the Privacy Policy and relevant Data Protection Impact Assessments.
No individual clinical records are created for workshop participation.

6.3 Cancellations by ADHD Horizon
ADHD Horizon may cancel or reschedule a workshop due to:
