About the event

This workshop provides an evidence-informed overview of how attention works in ADHD, including difficulties with sustaining focus, switching attention, and managing distraction. It is designed to help participants understand attention-related challenges without framing them as a lack of effort, discipline, or interest.

Date: 22nd August 2026

Time: 13.30

Venue: Online via Zoom

In this live workshop, attention in ADHD is explored as a regulatory process rather than a simple capacity to concentrate. The session examines why focus can fluctuate widely, why people with ADHD may experience both distractibility and hyperfocus, and why attention often breaks down in environments that demand sustained, effortful concentration.

Rather than offering concentration techniques or training exercises, the workshop focuses on understanding attention patterns and the conditions that support or undermine focus in ADHD.
